Brussels Airlines

Brussels Airlines is Belgium’s national carrier and the largest airline in the country. Its main base and headquarters are located at Brussels Airport. The airline flies to more than 100 destinations in Europe, North America and Africa and also offers charter services, safety and crew training. Brussels Airlines is a member of the Star Alliance and the IATA. Its IATA code SN comes from its predecessors Sabena and SN Brussels Airlines and is part of the Lufthansa Group.

Frequent Flyer Program

Brussels Airlines is part of the Miles & More program, Lufthansa’s loyalty program. You can earn miles on Brussels Airlines flights, other Miles & More partners and Star Alliance airlines. Miles can also be collected on Brussels Airlines’ non-airline partners.

Before, Brussels Airlines had a customer program called LOOP which was launched on October 19, 2015 and targeted frequent flyers who didn’t benefit much from traditional loyalty programs. LOOP was discontinued on February 1, 2020.

In-Flight Entertainment

The airline offers two magazines:

  • b-there! – a monthly magazine for flights within Europe
  • B Spirit Magazine – every two months for flights to Africa

Both magazines are also available as free downloadable apps for iPad users.

From November 2011 to the end of 2012 Brussels Airlines updated its A330 fleet:

  • Economy Class: AVOD 9-inch personal in-flight entertainment screens
  • Business Class: Lie-flat seats with upgraded 15-inch AVOD screens, branded as RAVE, provided by IMS-Company
